Amidst the popping of champagne corks at the 2015 RACV Victorian Tourism Industry Awards on Monday night, Eco-Logic Education and Environment Services received a Silver Award in the EcoTourism Category . Held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the award recognizes ecologically sustainable tourism with a primary focus on experiencing natural areas that foster environmental and cultural understanding, appreciation and conservation.
Sharon Blum-Caon, Eco-Logic’s Manager said “we are ecstatic about receiving the Silver Award for Eco-Tourism. We are proud of the work we do, and feel very honoured to be recognized by the tourism industry.”
Based in Anglesea, Eco-Logic Education & Environment Services helps people safely explore, learn and care about the diverse environments of Victoria’s Surf Coast and the Great Otway National Park. The programs offer a hands-on approach and focus on deeper understanding of the regions natural assets.
“Our program participants leave our region with a deeper environmental and cultural understanding and a strong appreciation of natural attributes of the marine and forest environments. So the win is really for the environment,” said Sharon Blum-Caon.
Sharon praised the support of Little Big Fish Marketing and Business Consulting who worked with her in the development of the submission and have also assisted Eco-Logic enhance their business planning, marketing and internal risk management capability.
