Eco-Logic activities conform with the Department of Education & Early Childhood Development’s Safety Guidelines for Education Outdoors 2008, as well as the Adventure Activity Standards 2006 (AAS) developed by the Outdoor Recreation Centre and Victorian Government.
As advised by the Department of Education & Early Childhood Development and the AAS, Eco-Logic applies the following Eco-Logic staff : student/ client ratios
- General beach and land-based activities, 1: 25
(eg Estuary Discovery, Rockpool Ramble, Junior Ranger activities)
- Canoe Discovery Paddle, 1:12
- Ocean Snorkelling, 1: 8-10
- Bushwalking on formed tracks for up to 5 hours, 1: 20
In addition to our staff, we expect a teacher/ leader to be present with each group of up to 25 students (or 11 students for Canoeing) during our activities.
