Activity ratios

SAFETY GUIDELINES FOR EDUCATION OUTDOORS & RATIOS

Eco-Logic activities conform with the Department of Education & Training’s Safety Guidelines for Education Outdoors 2020, as well as the Adventure Activity Standards(AAS).

As advised by the Department of Education & Training and the AAS, Eco-Logic applies the following Eco-Logic staff : student/ client ratios

• General beach and land-based activities, 1: 25
  (eg Estuary Discovery, Rockpool Ramble, Bush Ranger activities)
• Canoe Discovery, 1:12
• Ocean Snorkelling, 1: 8-10
• Bushwalking on formed tracks for up to 5 hours, 1: 20

In addition to our staff, we expect a teacher/ leader to be present with each group of up to 25 students (or 11 students for Canoeing) during our activities.
